Jacob's ladder...

Brother GD talked about Jacob last night. Main points were about how we ought to encounter God, experience God... and there's something else I forgot... should've taken notes! ;) Anyway, basically God seeks us, stays with us, and God wishes to bless us! Likewise, we also ought to seek Him, stay with Him, and be a blessing to Him and to others....

Brother GD also talked about Jacob was probably 77 years old when he fled to his uncle's place..., that was based on some bible scholars back calculating his age from other events of the bible..., I sure like to try that one out sometimes. I always thought Jacob was quite young when he fled home... hmmm...

Today's reading was about Balaam... and possibly Eddie Murphy the talking donkey! ;) It's interesting that God blesses Jacob's descendants and doesn't change His mind! May my descendants or family or friends also be blessed because of me!!! Of course blessings are one thing, what's more important is that we need to learn from Jacob about how we should hold on to God with all our might! If there's no real relationship with God, so what if you're blessed? We can only end up squandering our blessings... and still complaint and grumble about our lives like the Israelites... and end up going no where. So... yeah... may God and I hold on to each other and never ever let go!
