Hmm... God really really want me to grow by continue to drill in me these things for 3 days in a roll now! ;) Yes Lord, I do want to grow, please help me though.
And I can't believe we're still messing around with the DVD slideshow. However, thanks to the difficulties we encountered, I do believe we'll have a much cooler finishing product in the end than compared to if my PC had worked flawlessly earlier on... We're pushing near our mental limits... we're pushing our PC and Mac to their limits... all of us work together to produce a cool final product which we wouldn't be able to accomplish by ourselves otherwise. It's weird... it's very annoying and fun at the same time! ;)
May God continue to help me, at home and at work or wherever I am..., to be able to continue to be able to work humbly together as one with others!

May the Lord our God help us to get things done! Not just our things, but may the will of our God be done. Help us overcome the weaknesses of our flesh Lord..., so that we may do Your will... and eventually be able to approach Your throne to praise You til the end of time!!! HalleluYeah!!! :)

Brother GD also used Nehemiah as example to encourage us to keep God as our first priority in our lives... to spend more time getting to know God better and learn to trust in Him. Troubles in life are merely turning points or new opportunities!!!
Surely if it weren't for all of our DVD trouble, we wouldn't have learned so much about creating DVD movies!!! Thank You Lord!!! ;)

DVD blues...
Last night I was struggling to burn a readible DVD, but I end up having to change to a completely different software in order to make it work. Not sure what the heck happened to the original software..., it has burnt good DVDs before, but just doesn't want to burn one for our final wedding slideshow. Oh well. Gotta hand it to movie/film makers who are making real movies. Post productions must be pain in the butt!!! Anyway, it's still fun the see the finishing product though..., God just want us to go thru the birthing pains so that we'd cherish and love the baby I suppose. ;)
Today at work was also suppose to be some kind of interacting training session but it was cancelled at the last minute due to some accident of one film crew or something... so the whole thing was cancelled. But we all still got our free lunch!
Today's scripture reading also kinda confused me...
Psalm 149
5 願 聖 民 因 所 得 的 榮 耀 高 興 ！ 願 他 們 在 床 上 歡 呼 ！
Why on their beds? Hmmm... gotta go look this up in some devotional bibles and see what others think about this... Does it mean we should shout joyfully when we wake up? When we're sick in bed? When we're with our lovers? ;) Hmm..., probably all of the above! Yeah! Halleluja! :D

Productive weekend!
I sort of got the wedding slideshow done..., it's just that I can't burn a readible DVD for some reason..., not sure if it's my cheap DVDs or something wrong with the drive...
Our wedding programs were also pretty much all printed out... just need Annie to tie her special knots on all of them...
Everything seems to be going fairly smoothly and according to plan... except that Almansor Court threw us a curve ball by telling us now we'll be sitting 12 people/table... so we'll be redoing that again...
I also took my nephew Daniel to church for the very first time, well, it wasn't the first time for him... he went to church once with his friend a while back..., but last weekend, he heard 'preaching' for the first time. May the Word Pastor Jim planted be able to take root in his heart. Daniel is entering his teenage years..., may the LORD guard and guide him and his whole house!
May the LORD also have mercy for my grand-aunt too. She is nearing death, LORD would You please take her peacefully... or perhaps heal her to allow her to come to my wedding? Her condition varies quite a bit, why not just heal her... or take her with You? How long will you leave your beloved daughter like that? Show us Your glory by healing her to come to our wedding? I sincerely pray that in Christ's name..., but may Your will be done..., not mine.

Reversing my day...
Hmm... due to a special interview with the lawyers at noon, I actually stayed home in the morning and then came to work in the afternoon..., right now I'm on my dinner break... hopefully I'll get home by around 10pm-ish! ;)
Everybody's home now... it's nice and quiet around the office. Good devotional time! :) I do have to say that I'm not that impressed with the lawyers considering how much we're paying them. Anyway, may God pay attention to our case, I'm sure everything will be fine!
And speaking of God, He helped us get my wedding band in time!!! There was a chance that Damiani might take up to 6 weeks to make my ring... if that happens, I might not even have a ring for our interview with the immigrations people!!! But thanks be to our God, it's now ready in time!
Also wish to thank God that Shuttle mission was completed safely and International Space Station was successfuly upgraded with new solar panels!!! Aren't they beautiful?

Long day at work today...
But at least it has been a productive day... and I will be getting a 'short' day tomorrow cause of lawyer's interview... (Well, probably not that short cause I'm going to have to make up for lost hours!!!)
Anyway, when things get piled on or messy or whatever..., it's good to know that He makes all things work together for the benefit of those who love Him! May all things whether in heaven or on earth praise Him!
Psalm 148
13 願 這 些 都 讚 美 耶 和 華 的 名 ！ 因 為 獨 有 他 的 名 被 尊 崇 ； 他 的 榮 耀 在 天 地 之 上 。

It's kinda weird that I wasn't able to fall asleep within like a few minutes last nite. Love of my life was surprised by my lack of snoring... she's not used to fall asleep without snoring nowadays it seems... ;) Anyway, perhaps too much is on my mind. Lord, please strengthen me to be able to finish our slide show before the end of the week... and I also need to wrap things up with my final documentation at work before I leave for vacation too. May things go as smoothly as possible... even if not, may God provide me with sufficient wisdom and strength to get it done one way or another! Halleluja!!! Thanks! I pray in Christ Jesus' name!!!!

Assigning people to various tables is hard work!
It's just so difficult to finalize our table arrangement..., hopefully it can be done soon. Considering that wedding is 2 weeks away!!!!
Anyway, couldn't get too much done last nite because of a headache. Also felt like throwing up at times. Luckily I was able to just sleep it off! Maybe I was just too tired. Quite often when I get too tired or stressed... I'd get pimples which end up pinching some nerves... which end up causing me headaches. Sleep has always been a very good cure.
Of course when we get our spiritual-aches, joy of the Lord would be our cure!

Anyway, couldn't get too much done last nite because of a headache. Also felt like throwing up at times. Luckily I was able to just sleep it off! Maybe I was just too tired. Congraduations to Nina!
Can't believe cousin Nina has graduated from college! I'm must be really old now! ;) I pray that she'll be the best pediatrician possible and make her family proud! Her sister Julia will probably be the last of the cousins graduating from college... that'll probably be another 2 yrs... There could've been cousin Matthew's graduation, but too bad Lord wasn't willing... oh well, I'm sure he's happy for his sisters' achievements!Connie from church had her PhD graduation ceremony at UCLA on the same day too, but too bad the campus is just too big and each department had their own ceremonies... so didn't get to see her. I also went to the 10th anniversary celebration for LAKKC and didn't see her there too! Oh well, maybe I'll just mail her the card I got her. Connie's special fingers and her testimonies was for sure one the things that made a major impact on me during the beginning phase of my faith. May God continue to use her to bring more souls to Christ! :)
Anyway, it's interesting that both Faith and at LAKKC had a message of family. Pastor Jim has be talking about 'me and my house' for a while now... and this new speaker... Pastor Yeh or something... was also talking about family. Our natural family, spiritual family, and heavenly family of course! May the Lord continue to guide me on how to properly raise and build up both my natural house and spiritual house on earth! And I look forward to going to my heavenly house someday!!! :)

Lastly, Lewis Hamilton won another race and is leading the championship. This rookie sure is one amazing racer! At the end of the race, he actually thanked God..., but when I search the net, I couldn't really find any info regarding his faith... is he really a Christian? Hmm..., anyway, whatever, may God protect him from harm... both physically and spiritually. Don't let him get too cocky and begin to lose himself. Help us wear that armor of God... so that we can continue to stand firm!

Angry squirrel!!!
When animals go postal!!! It's amazing how even little animals can be satan possessed! ;) Wonder what happened to it to make it go crazy and start attacking people... Did somebody abuse it or something? Hmm...
How can we protect ourselves from becoming angry and crazy? When all is against us..., when all hope seemed lost..., this is probably why some people go off shooting people and then end up killing themselves. They just don't give a damn anymore. Thanks be to God that we've found God!!! Because...

1 神 是 我 們 的 避 難 所 ， 是 我 們 的 力 量 ， 是 我 們 在 患 難 中 隨 時 的 幫 助 。
Though our refrigerator's not working, though our teeth hurts, though we have a lot of work to do and schedules to keep... our wedding is quickly approaching for example..., but the joy of the LORD is our strength!!! Halleluja! :)

TV Stand completed!
Yeah! Halleluja and praise the Lord!!! Louie can now bring on the Wii party!!! :DI heard that my apartment manager would always say 'praise the Lord' right before he fixes things when our frige was having problems yesterday... According to the love of my life, time and time again... none of the fixes worked, but he praised the Lord anyways. What a man of faith! ;) We should all be more like him!

TV Stand kinda works...
Last night I successfully hung my TV on the stand just to test it out to see if it'll break or not! Thanks be to my God that it worked out great! (Well, the love of my life was pretty nervous about it though...) Anyway, hopefully by the end of the week, we'll be able to watch TV on the new stand!
Yesterday I was commenting in the blog of love of my life regarding what "love" is..., I commented that love hurts... apparently Apostle Paul agrees with me in 1 Corinthians 13!!! ;)
And reading the psalms today encouraged me to pray for revival of the chinese churches around LA.

TV Stand almost finished!!!
Today's scripture reading was encouraging..., I've always love reading Romans! Anyway, the love of my life is still suffering from many pains from her tooth. I asked her to rate her level of painfulness from 0 to 10... and she rated a 7!!!! Wow... and she still has to endure for another week because her root canal job is not done yet!!! Oh well, I hope, she can still learn to be joyful... because 就 是 在 患 難 中 也 歡 歡 喜 喜 的 ； 因 為 知 道 患 難 生 忍 耐 ，忍 耐 生 老 練 ， 老 練 生 盼 望... well, I hope God gives me wisdom and ability to bring her more joy and hope and whatever else that she needs!

Our first meals at home!!!
Yeah, over the weekend, we cooked for ourselves for the first time! We had two meals too! We had salad, pasta, and steak for dinner on Saturday... and we had soup and sandwiches for lunch after church! American meals are just oh so much simpler to prepare than chinese meals! Anyway, nothing we made tasted nasty, so I'd consider our cooking attempts as a huge success!!! :)
Besides having good food and good wine at home, my TV stand is also ready to be assembled together..., I've painted all the pieces... I just hope everything will work out according to plan during final assembly! ;)
And this week's sermon, Pastor Jim talked about how our Lord Jesus 'grew'...

And lastly, the incredible rookie Lewis Hamilton won his first race in Formula 1. He's for sure going to be the Tiger Wood of the racing world. It's indeed incredible to be able to witness the making of a brand new legend. My other favorite driver is Takuma Sato... he's the only asian in the field and has the same birthday as me and the love of my life! Though he probably won't ever win the championship, but I'm always rooting for him as a personal favorite. My previous old favorite was Senna... and he died after a crash... Lord, if You're willing, please don't let any of them die prematurely anymore, okay? Help us design safer cars and safer tracks... Thanks!

May the shuttle launch be trouble free...
NASA has gone thru a tough and weird year so far... a severe hail storm at the launch pad area..., a weird astronaut love triangle story, a crazy sucide shooter... what NASA needs is a successful launch! Hopefully shuttle can complete all of its remaining missions before it retires. If we have one more launch failure, the whole shuttle fleet would probably be retired immediately... and hubble space telescope would not get repaired... and the space station would end up incomplete... America is really too poor to develope another way to gain access to space at the moment. May God have mercy on the US and allow us continued success in space...Psalm 41

BTW, last nite just after my late entry, I was commenting to the love of my life that why was there 'strips' of linen in the tomb... was there a cat that shredded our Lord's linen? ;) And amazingly I became that strips of 'Broken Linen'...
While I was petting and holding our cat last nite before bed, the love of my life tripped on a bunch of wires right infront of him... and scared our cat enough to cause him to just quickly jump and run away... and the end result was some scratches on my hand and leg!!!
So that answers it..., there was probably a cat in the tomb after Jesus' resurrection. ;)

My late entry...
Today was a little busy at work..., so I was unable to do my devotional during lunch... Things at work are really piling up. Hopefully I can finish them in time before my vacation and with good results! Lord, You gotta help me!!! Thanks!
I'm actually waking up earlier and earlier lately without need or alarm clock..., maybe I should start doing my devotionals in the mornings so that I won't have to worry about interruptions during lunch...
Anyway, today reading John, I came to the realization that the 'Broken Linen' name is just so spiritually cool! According to TG's requirement... I was suppose to pick an adjective and a color to represent the first letter of my first name and last name. Linen was the 'color'... and Broken was the adjective... and today in Gospel of John..., there were strips of linen on the ground after the resurrection! So... I hope I can truly be like that piece of linen... to be able to witness something as special as the glory of our Lord's resurrection!!! ;)
Anywho, back to work related issue... O Lord:

Joy?
Saw grand-aunt with the love of my life last nite..., it seems she's having a hard time breathing now... even with ample oxygen... supposedly she was doing really well yesterday... anyway, for an old lady with cancer, she is doing as good as she can be doing. Lord God, she is also Your beloved daughter..., if You are willing, let her come to my wedding? Or let her go to You in peace soon? Into Your loving hand I put my grand-aunt in...
Regarding the topic about choosing to be happy in the love of my life's blog..., I think it simply means when something bad happens, we can choose to let it get you down..., or we can choose to not let it get you down. For sure we can try to control things that are within our control and not do the same stupid mistakes again and again..., but for things that's beyond our control, what would be the point of allowing those things to bring you down? Whether Lincoln suffered from depression or not is irrelavent. If he seriously had given up due to lots of set backs in his life, then nobody would ever have heard of him. United States would've also been broken up into various new countries.
Sure, there can be cool things that automatically makes us 'happy', but regarding 'choosing to be happy' probably requires some 'work' on our part. Of course it's not real 'work'..., kinda like choosing to believe in this invisible man Who claims to be God.
Just like Pastor Jim said, regarding "me and my house", we choose to serve the LORD... similarly, we can choose to be happy!!! :) Choosing to serve God doesn't mean having trouble free lives... likewise, choosing to be happy doesn't mean one would never experience sadness again...
It's all about getting back up on our feet and standing firm. Without God and without happiness, it just makes it a lot easier for us to just lay down and die. Only the joy of the Lord can be our real source of strength.

Marriage... a cure?
New drug for alleviating depression... Marriage! (According to Yahoo...even lousy marriages can help!!!) It is indeed not good for depressive people to be alone, but for happier people... marriage won't help them to be happier as much though... Anyway, interesting finding..., but whatever kind of people you are...

Yes, help us LORD, to finish up all the final details of the wedding. Mom is getting her phsyical check ups..., I pray that everything will be alright. Grand-aunt is also at a very weird stage physically..., she seems to be doing very well lately after months of unconsiousness... either she's ready to goto You O Lord... or perhaps you've healed her to come to my wedding?
Be with us O God... be with me and the people of my household!!!
Also visited LAKKC on sunday to make sure the list of whoever's coming to the wedding is accurate..., the church and everything looks okay I suppose... and I thought I should check the place out a bit especially if I'm still currently tithing to that church... TGIF!!!
Reading the Gospel stories again always brings up some imaginative thinking in me... if I were the sick/needy, would I scream at the top of my lungs... or do my best to grab a hold of Jesus and begs him to help me? Or would I be too embarrassed because of those people around me? I'd probably be like that bleeding woman... just secretly blend in and go touch Jesus! ;)
Would I just drop the fish nets to follow Jesus..., or would I hesitate like the rich boy... unwilling to sell all of my fortune to follow Jesus?
Would I disown Jesus during the time of crucifixion like the disciples? (Probably will...) But would I also boldly claim that I would follow Jesus to the death before hand... or would I just stay quiet and wait and see... ;)
Would I believe in that resurrected Christ?
Lot's of what would happen if I were there scenarios..., anyway, those must've been some exciting times back then... and I wonder how would God use us believers of Christ today? Hmm...
Anyway, time to thank God it's Friday again!!! ;)

9 主 啊 ， 你 所 造 的 萬 民 都 要 來 敬 拜 你 ； 他 們 也 要 榮 耀 你 的 名 。
10 因 你 為 大 ， 且 行 奇 妙 的 事 ； 惟 獨 你 是 神 。

A lot of things to be done over the weekend, whether it's for the wedding or for our home or even for work..., whatever I do, may I do them for Your glory. Please also help the love of my life to be able to sleep better at night too... Thank You! :)
