Getting busier at work...

More and more work seem to have piled on during this month of June... hope I can finish them all before the wedding!!! I certainly don't mind the overtime pay, but then again, I hope I can finish all the necessary preparations for the wedding too! May the Lord my God lead my way so that I won't screw up!!!

My memory sucks!

I was planning on making some copies of the music sheets at work today, but I forgot to bring the song books... Oh well, at least I remembered to call in for another employment verification letter for our upcoming interview with the immigration people!

Human brain is indeed pretty pathetic sometimes..., this is why we need God I suppose..., but then again, we can often forget about God too... What to do?!?!?!? Lord have mercy!!!

Anyway, last nite I kept on playing around with the video making software... I really should've been a movie director too!!! ;) Hopefully, I'll be able to put together a cool DVD album so that I can keep all of our past memories intact!!!

Memorial Weekend

This long weekend is great for auto racing fans...Monaco Grand Prix(biggest race for F-1) and Indy 500(biggest race for Indycars) both happen on this long weekend. F-1 race was kinda boring with pretty much no lead changes. However, Indy 500 was totally unpredictable due to rain. In the end, Dario Franchitti won the race..., this guy's wife is Ashley Judd...

Isn't it cool to be a race car driver? Makes lots of money, have hot girls all around you... and most coolest of all is that you can SPEED!!! But of course you could also die in an instance and you're always on the job... or racing on Sundays... so I wonder how many racers are Christians? Maybe perhaps this is why God didn't let me become a race car driver!!! ;)

This weekend we have also firmed up our guest list for our wedding..., we'll probably have about 280 guests!!!! But luckily, my weight number didn't go up that high..., this morning, I'm only weighing in less than 180 lbs!!! ;) I've also scanned lots of old pics into the computer this weekend..., hopefully we can finish the slide show soon... I've also started with the TV stand. Due to various reasons, my design has changed... so it's not going to look like what I had drawn earlier..., hopefully it'll look better!!! We also took my parents, Daniel and Darren to see Shrek 3 over the weekend. I don't think it was as good as the previous Shrek, but it's not too bad I suppose. It's interesting that the love of my life is more like Shrek and I'm more like the Princess regarding having babies. ;)

Whew! Lots went on during this long weekend..., but Memorial Day is suppose to be about remembering the veterans. US sure have fought a lot of wars... some are indeed memorable... and some we probably wish to forget... O God, may our current war with Iraq be ended soon... and with good results.

Home stuffs...

Home prices continue to decline for 9 straight months!!! Although the national average is now only $220,900, but some how, my parent's house in Alhambra still continue to climb..., and it's now $570,000!!!! We bought it for only $180,000 in 1997..., should've bought more of them at the time... oh well...

Anyway, reading Haggai today also made me feel kinda bad..., that I'm more concerned with my own house nowadays then I'm with God's house. Hmm..., maybe I should try to start a bible study thing with my parents. For sure my mom can't understand what the heck Pastor Jim's talking about..., and my dad doesn't really want to continue to fall to sleep at church... how will they ever be able to get to know the real You? I pray in Jesus' name that my parent's hearts may be softened up and opened up for the Lord!

Last nite, we were also experimenting with the software that can combine pictures, movies and music together to make some cool slide shows... a lot of these detail things can be quite annoying at first because we are quite clueless, but after a while, it can also be quite fun once we get the hang of it! We were jokingly saying that perhaps we should become wedding coordinators in the future... Anyway, I think churches really can be more involved in people's weddings! Besides just renting out the place for ceremonies... if experienced church members can be more actively involved with the couple... things could be a lot more fun and a lot cheaper too! This can certainly be an incentive for young couples... the unbelieving family and friend can also perhaps be attracted by the church as a result! As it is with most weddings, I really think it's just too expenseive. I just rather pay these expenses to a church instead of paying money to Almansor Court or whatever other restaraunt... Anyway, maybe this can be implemented in the future if we have a nice big church!

Long weekend is coming up. Hopefully we can get a lot of things done too! May God help us! :)

Brother GD talked about the love of God last nite at the prayer meeting. What is the love of God? According to Romans 5:8 惟 有 基 督 在 我 們 還 作 罪 人 的 時 候 為 我 們 死 ， 神 的 愛 就 在 此 向 我 們 顯 明 了 。May the Spirit of God fill us all with the love of God so that we may truly be able to love each other, especially those who don't quite know how to love... because they themselves have rarely experienced love...

More wedding planning...

Everything is slowly falling into place. I just got done with the decorators... and everything should look Lavenderish wonderful in the reception ballroom and the gazeebo used for the wedding ceremony itself! We've also planned our post-wedding trip too..., but just as we've finished planning, the Immigrations people scheduled our interview while we're in the middle of the trip..., but luckily we could refund that particular nite's stay... so the only thing missing would be the drive-by thru Yosemite, Mammoth Lakes and the Death Valley. Oh well. Better that we just get it over with asap instead of continue on waiting until "WHO" knows when...
