Yeah!

May we all be able soar not only with wings like eagle, but with rockets like the shuttle!!! ;)

May the shuttle launch be trouble free...

NASA has gone thru a tough and weird year so far... a severe hail storm at the launch pad area..., a weird astronaut love triangle story, a crazy sucide shooter... what NASA needs is a successful launch! Hopefully shuttle can complete all of its remaining missions before it retires. If we have one more launch failure, the whole shuttle fleet would probably be retired immediately... and hubble space telescope would not get repaired... and the space station would end up incomplete... America is really too poor to develope another way to gain access to space at the moment. May God have mercy on the US and allow us continued success in space...

Psalm 41

Psalm 81

And psalm 81 reminded me that I haven't 'musically' worship my Lord for a while...

BTW, last nite just after my late entry, I was commenting to the love of my life that why was there 'strips' of linen in the tomb... was there a cat that shredded our Lord's linen? ;) And amazingly I became that strips of 'Broken Linen'...

While I was petting and holding our cat last nite before bed, the love of my life tripped on a bunch of wires right infront of him... and scared our cat enough to cause him to just quickly jump and run away... and the end result was some scratches on my hand and leg!!!

So that answers it..., there was probably a cat in the tomb after Jesus' resurrection. ;)

My late entry...

Today was a little busy at work..., so I was unable to do my devotional during lunch... Things at work are really piling up. Hopefully I can finish them in time before my vacation and with good results! Lord, You gotta help me!!! Thanks!

I'm actually waking up earlier and earlier lately without need or alarm clock..., maybe I should start doing my devotionals in the mornings so that I won't have to worry about interruptions during lunch...

Anyway, today reading John, I came to the realization that the 'Broken Linen' name is just so spiritually cool! According to TG's requirement... I was suppose to pick an adjective and a color to represent the first letter of my first name and last name. Linen was the 'color'... and Broken was the adjective... and today in Gospel of John..., there were strips of linen on the ground after the resurrection! So... I hope I can truly be like that piece of linen... to be able to witness something as special as the glory of our Lord's resurrection!!! ;)

Doing a little work on the TV stand..., re-scanning some music sheets for the wedding..., run some jobs for work... man, so many "little" things to do which has to be done!!! I hope I won't screw up and can finish it all in time!!!

Joy?

Saw grand-aunt with the love of my life last nite..., it seems she's having a hard time breathing now... even with ample oxygen... supposedly she was doing really well yesterday... anyway, for an old lady with cancer, she is doing as good as she can be doing. Lord God, she is also Your beloved daughter..., if You are willing, let her come to my wedding? Or let her go to You in peace soon? Into Your loving hand I put my grand-aunt in...

Regarding the topic about choosing to be happy in the love of my life's blog..., I think it simply means when something bad happens, we can choose to let it get you down..., or we can choose to not let it get you down. For sure we can try to control things that are within our control and not do the same stupid mistakes again and again..., but for things that's beyond our control, what would be the point of allowing those things to bring you down? Whether Lincoln suffered from depression or not is irrelavent. If he seriously had given up due to lots of set backs in his life, then nobody would ever have heard of him. United States would've also been broken up into various new countries.

Sure, there can be cool things that automatically makes us 'happy', but regarding 'choosing to be happy' probably requires some 'work' on our part. Of course it's not real 'work'..., kinda like choosing to believe in this invisible man Who claims to be God.

Just like Pastor Jim said, regarding "me and my house", we choose to serve the LORD... similarly, we can choose to be happy!!! :) Choosing to serve God doesn't mean having trouble free lives... likewise, choosing to be happy doesn't mean one would never experience sadness again...

It's all about getting back up on our feet and standing firm. Without God and without happiness, it just makes it a lot easier for us to just lay down and die. Only the joy of the Lord can be our real source of strength.

Marriage... a cure?

New drug for alleviating depression... Marriage! (According to Yahoo...even lousy marriages can help!!!) It is indeed not good for depressive people to be alone, but for happier people... marriage won't help them to be happier as much though... Anyway, interesting finding..., but whatever kind of people you are...

Psalm 37
3 你 當 倚 靠 耶 和 華 而 行 善 ， 住 在 地 上 ， 以 他 的 信 實 為 糧 ；
4 又 要 以 耶 和 華 為 樂 ， 他 就 將 你 心 裡 所 求 的 賜 給 你 。

Of course LORD, we'd like to have a marriage that is happy... or at least something that can bring You glory!!! We don't want a lousy marriage... no, no, no! ;)

Psalm 87

Yes, help us LORD, to finish up all the final details of the wedding. Mom is getting her phsyical check ups..., I pray that everything will be alright. Grand-aunt is also at a very weird stage physically..., she seems to be doing very well lately after months of unconsiousness... either she's ready to goto You O Lord... or perhaps you've healed her to come to my wedding?

Be with us O God... be with me and the people of my household!!!

Also visited LAKKC on sunday to make sure the list of whoever's coming to the wedding is accurate..., the church and everything looks okay I suppose... and I thought I should check the place out a bit especially if I'm still currently tithing to that church... TGIF!!!

Reading the Gospel stories again always brings up some imaginative thinking in me... if I were the sick/needy, would I scream at the top of my lungs... or do my best to grab a hold of Jesus and begs him to help me? Or would I be too embarrassed because of those people around me? I'd probably be like that bleeding woman... just secretly blend in and go touch Jesus! ;)

Would I just drop the fish nets to follow Jesus..., or would I hesitate like the rich boy... unwilling to sell all of my fortune to follow Jesus?

Would I disown Jesus during the time of crucifixion like the disciples? (Probably will...) But would I also boldly claim that I would follow Jesus to the death before hand... or would I just stay quiet and wait and see... ;)

Would I believe in that resurrected Christ?

Lot's of what would happen if I were there scenarios..., anyway, those must've been some exciting times back then... and I wonder how would God use us believers of Christ today? Hmm...
